AAPC Statement on Initial U.S. and China Trade Deal

Washington, D.C. – Governor Matt Blunt, president of the American Automotive Policy Council, today issued the following statement:

“AAPC is pleased the Trump administration has reached an initial agreement with China.  It is important for the world's two largest economies to have a healthy trade relationship and we are hopeful the ongoing discussions continue to be productive.  In a global economy, it is imperative for American automakers and other manufacturers to have robust and open markets for U.S. products.  We look forward to learning more about this key development and urge continued dialogue.”

The American Automotive Policy Council (AAPC) is a Washington, D.C. association that represents the common public policy interests of its member companies FCA US LLC, Ford Motor Company and General Motors Company.
