American Automakers Statement on Katherine Tai Confirmation as Trade Chief

 

Washington, D.C. – Governor Matt Blunt, president of the American Automotive Policy Council, today issued the following statement on Katherine Tai’s confirmation as U.S. Trade Representative:

“Trade is vital to American Automakers in creating jobs and helping grow our nation’s economy.  We congratulate Katherine Tai on her confirmation to be our nation’s top trade representative.  We look forward to working with U.S. Trade Representative Tai on policies that ensure American Automakers continue to drive economic growth, job creation and remain competitive in the global economy.”

The American Automotive Policy Council (AAPC) represents American Automakers Ford Motor Company, General Motors Company and Stellantis. AAPC is a Washington, D.C. association representing the common public policy interests of its member companies.
