WASHINGTON, D.C. – American Automotive Policy Council President Matt Blunt issued the following statement today on the announcement by Representative John Dingell (D-MI) that he will retire at the end of his current term.
“Congressman Dingell’s legendary support for the American auto industry in the United States House of Representatives has truly been second to none. From his service in the Army during World War II and later through his record-setting tenure in the United States House of Representatives, Congressman Dingell has had a distinguished career, particularly with his service to U.S. autoworkers in his home state and across the country.
"As Congressman Dingell prepares to leave the U.S. House at the end of this year, the American Automotive Policy Council looks forward to continuing to work with him to create jobs in Michigan and strengthen the U.S. manufacturing economy.”
The American Automotive Policy Council, Inc. (AAPC) is a Washington, D.C. association that represents the common public policy interests of its member companies Chrysler Group LLC, Ford Motor Company and General Motors Company.
