AAPC Statement on American Jobs in Energy Manufacturing Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Governor Matt Blunt, president of the American Automotive Policy Council, issued the following statement on U.S. Senators Joe Manchin and Debbie Stabenow’s American Jobs in Energy Manufacturing Act of 2020:

“The global shortage of auto-grade semiconductor wafers illustrates the need for the United States to make structural investments to protect our domestic supply chains.  We applaud and support the effort by Senator Joe Manchin and Senator Debbie Stabenow to help drive a resurgence in America’s manufacturing supply chains, which will help American Automakers drive economic growth and job creation, while remaining competitive globally.”

The American Automotive Policy Council (AAPC) represents American Automakers Ford Motor Company, General Motors Company and Stellantis.  AAPC is a Washington, D.C. association representing the common public policy interests of its member companies.
