AAPC Statement on President Obama's Michigan Speech
Washington, D.C. - American Automotive Policy Council (AAPC) President Matt Blunt today issued the following statement on President Obama's speech at the Ford Assembly Plant in Wayne, MI:
"President Obama's remarks today celebrate the resilience of the U.S. auto industry, and the important contribution our workers made to ensure the resurgence of the American economy.
"FCA US, Ford and GM together make unique contributions to the American economy, and as the leading creator of U.S. jobs, the health of the auto industry is pivotal for stimulating positive economic growth in our country as a whole.
"The American Automotive Policy Council commends President Obama for his support and belief in US manufacturing, and his recognition of the importance the US auto industry has in creating American jobs."
