American Automakers Statement on Retirement of Senator Gary Peters
Washington, D.C. – American Automotive Policy Council President Matt Blunt issued the following statement today on the announcement by Senator Gary Peters (D-MI) that he will retire at the end of his current term.
“Senator Peters is a champion of manufacturing and the American auto industry and its workers in the halls of the U.S. Capitol. AAPC looks forward to working with him throughout the end of his term to strengthen the U.S. auto sector and its U.S. auto manufacturing partners.”
The American Automotive Policy Council (AAPC) represents American Automakers Ford Motor Company, General Motors Company and Stellantis. AAPC is a Washington, D.C. association representing the common public policy interests of its member companies.
